Il pleut...
Mar. 28th, 2006 05:53 pmIt rained yesterday and this morning and I didn't have an umbrella...I'm thinking I might have left it in a class room. So I go out to buy one today before my last class thinking it's going to keep raining, but it doesn't! Atleast I have an umbrella now.
Anyway! Karen Walker! In the bar! I had to restrain myself from bouncing around! Forget it... *BOUNCES*!!!
And I actually got stuff done today, so that's a plus!
AND MY FIREFLY COMICS CAME TODAY! SQUEE! They're so shiny in the clear plastic all new and such! Vol. 1 has Mal on the cover. I had to get Mal, he's the captain! Vol. 2 has Kaylee because I love Kaylee! Vol. 3 has Wash on the cover because, really, IT'S WASH. Come on now.
Going to Magic Mountain for spring break, very excited! Never been there before :D

Français, Halloween, Milliways
Oct. 29th, 2005 11:10 pmLivejournal is all decked out for Halloween! That's so awesome!
Anyway, I didn't work today because there was a Journée de français at my school. It was so much fun! It's too bad I can't do it again next year. A whole bunch of high school students came with their teachers. My French teacher organized and her classes helped host it. I got to practice speaking French off the top of my head without books or dictionaries, the teachers helped, though. We had delicious croissaints, pain au chocolat, and chocolat chaud. The crêpes with Nutella (vive le Nutella!) were fabulous, as usual. Each school put on a skit en français and presented it. All of them were hilarious! Then an African dancer came and taught us all a dance, I don't think I've exercised that much in a long time.
Anyway...HALLOWEEN! Squee! And where did October go? I could have sworn it was only just the end the end of September. O_o?

milliways_bar has begun and I've got Janet in the bar dressed as a cowgirl. The inspiration was from Teryl Rothery in the Women of Sci-fi calender. I only found one icon to use, though. Oh well.

So I cheated and added a few things under one number...what?
1. Harry Potter. That's a given.
2. Rainy days, early morning fog, and hot chocolate with marshmallows.
3. Archaeology, anthropology, and anything to do with ancient civilizations.
4. Nutella. Mmmmm, nutella ;D
5. Furry pillows, comfy blankets, and warm sweaters in winter.
6. Musicals, especially ones with big musical numbers.
7. Music. All kinds. Rock, classical, orchestral, marching bands, big band music, jazz, and swing.
8. Watcing a ballet. Watching people dance who are really good at what they do.
9. Reading anything and everything.
10. Johnny Depp and all his alter egos.
11. Acting like a crazy loon.

In other news, I finally rented Dead Poets Society. Loved it!must stop adding more fandoms to my list. It was something that I've been wanting to see because of milliways_bar and I'm glad I did. It's so funny (with Robin Williams) but crazy sad, too. *sniff*
milliways_bar also partly inspired me to watch Firefly. That and I saw previews for reruns on the scifi channel.
Also, I should never not golf for a year. My back hurts and I'm terribly out of practice. *Uses fun Gate!Golfing icon anyway*
