An update?

Okay so wow, finally posting!

Let's see...since the last time I updated:

I found a new full time job which sounded awesome until I found out it was selling vacuums on commission door to door. So not my thing. I stuck it out for a week because I don't like to give up easily but realized that if a job is on the verge of giving me panic attacks than I should get out.

I auditioned for Six Flags Fright Fest again, the last time I did it was in 2002. Thought my audition was 'eh' even though they were impressed by THE REALLY AWESOME THINGS that I can do to my voice when I'm screaming. Said they'd call me in for call backs a week later if I got in. Didn't hear a thing so I figured they didn't need me.

So I planned to go to a wedding that I wouldn't have been able to make if I had been in Fright Fest! It's in San Diego and The Boy's best friend is getting married. He's in HER wedding party (like that movie!) I'm busing down there (12 HOURS!!) because it's cheaper than flying but I don't care because I LOVE going to weddings :D So my adventure starts early Friday morning!

Ahaha, so here's where it gets crazy (as though it hasn't already!) the day AFTER I book my bus tickets, I check my work schedule and GUESS WHO IS IN FRIGHT FEST AFTER ALL??? Thing is, NO ONE called to tell me I was in it, which apparently happened to some other people too. So I'm torn between YAY! they liked me after all and OH CRAP I HAVE NON REFUNDABLE TICKETS ON THE DAYS I'M SCHEDULED. Man, I may dislike working at a theme park some days but when they rush to work out my schedule with me, how can I hate them?

So now I'm going to San Diego AND getting to be in Fright Fest. Score.

Only thing left to do is find a second job because I figure that having two minimum wage jobs is like having ONE that pays $16 an hour!

Happy Halloween!

^o^

Hopefully we'll find a place to party tonight, we've got a themed group this year: Alice in Wonderland, I'm going as the Mad Hatter - only without the hat because it didn't come with the costume :( .

Also, am very sad that I don't have an appropriate Halloween icon...

Update!

+Got bitched out this morning by my supervisor for not being able to work because I had to finish an essay. I mean, okay, I know I should have gotten it done sooner, but still. I was NOT about to do homework on my birthday. I ended up going in later in the evening anyway.

+Speaking of birthday...SO MUCH FUN. There were also guest appearances by Bender, the President, and a cardboard replica of Johnny Depp! Pictures were taken, alcohol was imbibed and an all around good time was had by all!...er, at least I hope everyone had fun :D?

+Pictures of birthday bash up at my facebook. More to come soon hopefully, those are just the ones from my camera :D

+Random fact # 2943345: It is almost impossible to speak in Double-Dutch when drunk.

+Spending Halloween partying it up in Santa Barbara. Taking the train after class and most likely sleeping all day Thursday.

+Man, I love October.

+Figured this icon was appropriate considering the date of my birthday and all :3

+Time to stop rambling, gotta get up early tomorrow!

Halloween

I went to the Castro last night with a few friends for Halloween, saw a lot of awesome costumes while wandering around and hanging onto each other so we wouldn't get lost in the massive crowd, I took some pics and videos that I'll post later once I put them on my computer.

A quick summary of some of the best ones: Full Darth Vader costume (couldn't get a picture, though), an iPod, three teams from Legends of the Hidden Temple, two sumo wrestlers play-acting in the street, Inspector Gadget, and a brilliant V costume with accompanying Evie Hammond in pink dress and pig tails.

Luckily, we left just as the ambulance was arriving for this.

Scary stuff. If we do go again next year, we're going earlier in the night.

After leaving the Castro around 11pm, we checked out an Irish pub called The Phoenix, made an appearance at a house party and eventually made our way back home around 3am.

Love Halloween.

Happy Halloween!

Obligatory Halloween post! Because, well, Halloween. Anyway, have fun whatever you all are doing. Oh! What are your costumes? I'm wearing a sort of renaissance outfit. I'll probably end up posting pictures.

^O^    <-----A bat! (Or, you know, a full moon with clouds.)

Lots of Halloween love,
Liz

I'm just dropping in to say:

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!

May your night be filled with ghouls and goblins, horrors and haunts, and the occasional poltergeist! (I <3 you Peevesie!)

Wishing you a haunting halloween!
