Refreshing for a journal update

That fic where Harry accidentally starts a revolution.

Time for another no-post-for-FOREVER-finally-posting post. Yeah.


+ The Music Man is going great! Just finished our second weekend of shows with two more to go! I'd recommend going here, here, and here for pictures (!!!) and a review :D

+ Got my laptop back FINALLY, I missed it so much! It's a bit slower now but hopefully I get to do something to fix that. I'm also beta testing Windows 7, the new one coming out soon after Vista. Generally I like it, it's pretty and all but so far my sims games are not working the way I want them to which is ;_;

- Which led to me having to re-install them today and trying everything I can to get previously backed-up files to show up which worked the last time I had to do it and NOW IT DOESN'T. Hopefully taking a break from it will help...

+ Working at Six Flags is, in general, good. It has been hot here lately and they don't have much shade for us, which I really wished they would do something about and have mentioned before, but we'll see. It keeps me sane knowing that I don't plan to be there forever, or at least not as long as I was in retail. Also, working animal exhibits at a theme park is MUCH better than in foods or something. However...

- To: Visitors of the park, Just because an animal is not moving does NOT mean it is dead or fake. I know common sense is severely lacking in a lot of you people, but we would not have a dead animal on display and do you REALLY think that we would spend all that that effort on new expensive exhibits just to put fake animals in them? Also, WE treat our animals fine, thanks for asking, YOU do not. WE do not spit at alligators to make them move, YOU do, WE do not pull on the tails of stingrays, YOU do, and WE do not bang on the glass windows of the marine animals, YOU do. Also, not every shark you see is a great white, not every stingray is a manta ray and not every penguin comes from Antarctica. But I just explained all of it and you would know this too if you had been listening. No love, me.

1. Are you going to look at every possible spoiler you can before the book comes out? Did you with HBP and how accurate were the ones you saw?

NO SPOILERS. Absolutely none. I'm going on a media blackout the day of release until I'm done with the book. Harry Potter is serious business. (I didn't consider the chapter titles that JKR put on her site last time to be spoilers. Same thing with the book cover and synopsis, bring on the speculation but not the spoilers!)

2. What will you do if Amazon (or whoever;) don’t deliver your copy on time, and everyone is reading it except you?

I'm not patient enough to wait for mine in the mail, plus it takes all the fun out of going to the midnight party! Sleep over at my place!!!

3. Will you read the last chapter before anything else? Are you planning to read the book all in one go or are you a slow reader?

I NEVER read last chapters first, takes away all the suspense. I'm PLANNING on reading only a chapter a day to stretch it out buuuuut, we'll see how long that lasts...

4. What’s your theory on the meaning of “Deathly Hallows?”

Maybe where the final showdown takes place? Other than that, I have no idea. Sounds creepy though.

5. What’s the craziest Harry Potter theory you’ve got, which you could only share with your trusted f-list?

That Harry is going to die and Sirius is really alive and that Draco is going to redeem himself.

Okay, maybe that last one isn't so crazy as the first two.

6. If you could write in a sub-plot of your own choosing to the main Harry one, what would it be?

I've always wondered what wizards in other countries think about this whole Voldemort business. I'd like to see more of Durmstrang and beauxbatons, too.

7. Who do you think will die in the book, and who would you be most upset to see die, even if you don’t think it’s likely?

I have only one answer to this question: Harry. I've been on this crazy kick about Harry dying lately probably because I'm preparing myself for the worst, just in case, so if he really does die, I won't be as shocked. A good plan IMHO.

8. Name three main (ish) characters who you think will definitely live and why. Is there a very minor character(s) you really want to have a happy ending?

Ron, Hermione, and Ginny will all live. And I think Remus is the most deserving of a happy ending, second only to Harry (but I already gave my opinion on that subject)

9. If you don’t like the book, or are bitterly disappointed by it, do you think you’ll still stay in the fandom?

There is no way I will hate this book. If I don't like it, at the very least it will become my least favorite in the series but it impossible for me to hate any Harry Potter book. I am also certain that I will never leave the fandom.

10. One word (or concise) answers only!

- Snape: good, evil, own agenda?
Snape is a Slytherin.

- Bill: will he help Remus or just be on permanent honeymoon?
Bill's a cool guy, of course he'll help.

- Peter: a Gryffindor moment or not?
He still owes Harry a life debt.

- Harry: is he a Horcrux?
No.

- The Weasley’s: will they all survive?
They had better!

- If no to the above: who won’t?
Percy

- Did Snape love Lily: yay or nay!
It wouldn't surprise me

- Hogwarts: will they go back to school or not?
The trio will not go back for their seventh year, though they may go back to use the library. However, Hogwarts will remain open.

- Remus and Tonks: will they get married in the book?
Maybe in the epilogue.

- Bellatrix: who will be her nemesis?
Neville. If not him, then Harry.

- The new leader of the OotP is …?
McGonagall

- Percy: will he see the error of his ways or not?
No (can you tell I don't like Percy much?)

11. If Harry could take just one adult Order of the Phoenix member with him on the search for Horcruxes, who should it be and why?

I would like him to take Remus but he still might be hanging out among the werewolf population. so maybe....Tonks or Kingsley, then.

12. Will Remus and Greyback have a confrontation in human or werewolf form? Will Tonks be involved? Who will the other werewolves support?

Hmmm, good question, I think it would be an interesting fight in werewolf form. Remus wouldn't want Tonks involved but she might follow him anyway. Once Greyback gets killed though, hopefully by Remus, I think the rest of the werewolves would follow Remus considering he challenged their leader and won.

13. Who is the person from Harry’s class (and it isn’t him, Ron or Hermione), who will become a Hogwart’s teacher? What subject will they teach?

I've always loved the idea of Neville teaching herbology!

14. Do you think Harry will observe Remus looking less lined and walking with a little more of a spring in his step? If so, do you think he'll attribute it to Tonks, and if he does, will he blush?

Harry = chronically oblivious.

15. Will Ginny use, "But Professor Lupin saw the futility of being a noble prat!" for one of her million arguments with Harry about why they should be together? Do you think they’ll get back together at all?

I think Ginny will understand why Harry broke up with her and not pressure him about it. I do hope they get back together in the end when Harry doesn't constantly have the threat of death hanging over him anymore, though.

16. Which house do you think Tonks is in, and why? Is she going to morph into someone important and who will it be?

She was a Gryffindor. Her morphing abilities have already been of use to the Order.

...sudden thought: What if she morphs into Harry at some point to distract Voldemort...what if she dies because of it...? GREAT. Now I'm going to worry about her. WHY do I do this to myself?

17. Who will be revealed to be the heir of Gryffindor?

I don't think anyone in the books really cares about the 'heir' thing as much as Tom Riddle did so I don't think it will be that important.

18. As JKR has promised the final chapter will be like an epilogue; how do you think the final paragraph (hopefully) donated to Remus’ future, and/or Tonks’, and/or anyone else you want to write a paragraph on, will read?

I think it will be an overall summary of what happened to everyone after the war. How many years after the war, though, I don't really care, just as long as it wraps up the series nicely while still giving the fans room for fanfic interpretations.

19. Which question from the books would it annoy you most not to have answered?

This might take some thought, I'll have to get back to you on this. I probably won't know until they don't get answered.

20. What do you think the last line of the book is?

Of course I've heard the rumors about the last word being "scar" but I'll leave that up to JKR :D

Exactly one month today, we, the ever so glorious Harry Potter fans and fanatics, will have Half-Blood Prince in our hands and, knowing some of us, will probably be halfway through it already.
