I <3 historical movies

hazelbiteI'm watching Into the West on TNT right now and it is so sad. It really shows the hardships of traveling to California in a wagon train. It really makes you think about how tough and dangerous it was, about how many people died on the way. How they were all looking for a new life out west and how much they would have to go through to get there. How some didn't make it and those that did had to leave their families behind.
Even though I missed the first part last Friday, it was really easy to pick things up from the second part. I definitely recommend watching it if you can.
It seems to go by really quickly though and they have a lot more to get in, since it's going to be a six part series, I think.
I'm going to miss two parts so I hope I can find another way to watch them.
::sigh:: I'm off to go finish my ficafest story. Tomorrow is the deadline and I'm having a lot of trouble writing this one for some reason.
