It's the back cover of the UK children's version of the Half-Blood Prince!

There's a wider picture of the bird bath/pensieve that's on the US cover (and partly seen in my icon) with a little boat so it looks like it's in some sort of cavern.

ginnaveve thinks that it may take place farther into the Chamber of Secrets than they went in Book 2.

There are also two grasped hands surrounded by either fire or a string of some sort. Kind of looks like someone is arm wrestling... 0.o

OMG this is so exciting!!! Only 35 days left!

Or maybe it's someplace outside of Hogwarts. There's a cover version - deluxe (I think it's Scholastic, not sure) - where Harry and Dumbledore are walking through a forest. Maybe they go through the forest, then cross some body of water to get to that pensieve thing?

Oh yeah! I almost forgot about that deluxe one! It's all so very interesting...I just wonder whose pensieve it is, if it is a pensieve, that is.

Oh, yeah. You know, that's actually one of the poll questions on JKR's site - whether that's a pensieve or not. Hmm... Well, for sure, it's not Dumbledore's pensieve. This is obviously not a portable one, at least. If it is a pensieve, maybe it belonged to someone from the past and it contains their memories? Maybe it's Gryffindor's pensieve? And maybe he put his memories in it before he died or something? Hmm... Or maybe it's not really a pensieve but something similar. I'm thinking maybe sort of like the archive section of a library, something. And it contains images of historical facts (sort of like a video archive or whatever). I don't know!

Very sad ending, I had to re-read it because it couldn't believe what had happened at first.
