hazelbite: (Princess Cinnabuns)
Just taking a quick break here since my French final is over. It went well, I think, easier than I thought it would be.

Anyway. I saw Episode three yesterday with [livejournal.com profile] ginnaveve. We got there just as the line was going into the theatre and got good seats. The audience applauded when the previews started, when the actual movie started, and finally, at the end. It was so exciting, I mean, if it was like that for the last of the new trilogy, I wish I could have seen Return of Jedi in theatres when it first came out!

Anyway, personally, I don't see Hayden Christiansen as a leading role kind of guy. Some of his acting made me cringe when the rest of it was just...eh, whatever. The dialogue, though, man. During all the Anakin/Padme interludes I was wishing they would get interupted by some fancy fight scene, I mean, seriously. At least write good dialogue for Ewan McGregor and Samuel Jackson who weren't given a lot to go on.

Other than that. I loveloveloveloved the movie.

I am also stating right now, how much love for Yoda I have. He rocks so much with his no-nonsense-kick-butt attitude. LOVE! Wonderful movie, you can't miss it.

So. Spoilers. Under the cut. You've been warned.
Beware, all who enter here )
The movie will definitely make you want to watch the original trilogy again, with all the new background knowledge. I'm going to do that once finals are over, so I can watch it from this new perspective, so it will be like when I first saw the original trilogy (which was waaay before episode I came out, btw, just to clear things up).

That was a lot of typing so I'm done for now, until I think of something to add later, because I know I will. So.
Happy watching, fellow Star Wars geeks!
