So.

I was SUPPOSED to be going to fieldschool.

Tonight, in fact. Leaving in two hours.



I emailed the guy back in April, sent in the app, got a confirmation, bought plane tickets, sent in my itinerary, got another confirmation email that said I would be sent an invoice to pay for the school and then...NOTHING. I went two whole months without another word despite me sending more emails with questions.

The last email I sent was a week ago AND I STILL HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING.

I tried calling the international number, the only one given for the place, and it didn't even work.

And, I mean, the whole looked legit, found through anthropological.org, but I seriously don't know anymore. Good thing I never actually paid them any money, it was only the plane tickets.

And I certainly wasn't going to fly to some tiny island and have no way back or no money to get home.

So I just canceled my flight, got credit for my $700 tickets and now I'm going to use them next summer for my trip to Europe.

And I'm seriously debating even sending an email that says I'm not going, likely they won't reply.

I WOULDN'T EVEN HAVE NEEDED TO GO TO FIELDSCHOOL SOMEWHERE ELSE IF THEY OFFERED THE CLASS AT MY SCHOOL MORE OFTEN...something that I have bitched about MULTIPLE TIMES considering that I would have been in it if the last spot hadn't been taken by one of my friends who said he needed the class just the same as me and now ISN'T EVEN GOING INTO ARCHAEOLOGY ANYMORE.

I feel like I should be compensated for how much stress I have been put through worrying about this entire thing.

GAH.


Once Stargate is done DLing, maybe it will cheer me up...

I hardly ever rant, sorry guys, but I am so fed up with this entire thing...
