Persephone's Library
I've decided to finally update. Go me! Anyway, I had already posted this library addition on my website but then forgot to post it here. So to celebrate the new year I have a review of Timeline By Michael Crichton.
Persephone’s Library 1-4-05
Today I will review a book entitled Timeline by Michael Crichton, which as you may or may not know, has also been made into a movie.
I’ve had this book for a while now but I didn’t read it until after the movie was in and out of theaters. I decided that I should read the book before I saw the movie (always a good choice in my opinion).
In this book, a group of archaeologists travel back in time to medieval France to rescue their Professor. Unfortunately, they have trouble getting back to the present, all the while trying to fight for their lives.
The time travel plot was what first attracted me to this book. However, it takes a while for them to actually go back in time; the setup for the time travel takes quite a few chapters. When one of the characters attempts to explain time travel, though, it kind of made my head hurt trying to figure out all the technical stuff (I must admit that I skimmed that part).
Crichton will send you back in time along with the characters in the book where you will find action, adventure, mystery, and even a little romance. Oh and what’s a Medieval time period without a joust? Overall, I give this book four out of five stars.
Oh and I have finally been officially sorted. Considering I always figured I would be in Ravenclaw anyway I am happy that a silly computer quiz sees fit to place me there as well!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
