Ah, it's late...
It is getting late for me and if I don't get enough sleep I tend to sleep through my alarm in the morning. V. bad. Anyway, tonight I decided to post a poem I wrote for a Creative Writing assingment a few days ago. We had to use the following words in it somehow: azure, muddy, exact, palm, history, destiny, prevail, guide, refine. It was our first assignment and it had to introduce us, our peresonality, to the rest of the class.
I wanted to wait until I got feedback in class but, what the hey, here it is:
(EDIT: My poem was discussed in class today (Jan. 4) and I think it went really well! It showed me what other people, who didn't know me, think about my personality. Try and figure it out here, too. I love feedback on my writing!)
Azure skies are gone
and yet, I feel at ease.
The fog has overtaken the landscape,
muddying the edges,
all sense of exactness is gone.
I place my palm
against the clammy coldness
of the window.
The wind rushes past,
through a haze of history.
My breath on the glass
makes a new kind of cloud
and, as I think of how we are destined
to prevail upon ourselves,
the curtain opens up ahead, guiding us on.
The sunlight seems clean
and refined as it slowly filters
through the tough fabric.
We break free at last,
and I alone feel on edge.
Btw, THIS has got got to be the coolest lego statue ever! I found the picture on mugglenet, so yeah. Wow! Eight feet tall! O.O
I also added a link to all my user icons. I finally gave into temptation and bought a paid account...mostly for the icons but I'm also making a mood theme, what fun!
'Night!
