Hmmm...

Just something I've been thinking about lately, mostly because I have a lot of time to think when I'm at Berkeley...

I've been re-considering joining the Peace Corps again. I had originally looked into it and found out I'd have to get blood work done...aaaaand that didn't quite work out with my irrational fear of needles.

Then the other day I was like, okay, I had to get two shots before I went to Belize and, as horrible as that was, I survived. So I figure I can get past that, even if needles are THE ENEMY.

But now I'm stuck on the whole 'gone for two years' thing. I'm sure I could do it, but still. It's TWO YEARS.

The only reason I haven't made a final decision is because I'm trying to keep my options open after I graduate. This is one choice, one of the bigger ones, but I have plenty of time.

Typing this all out has really helped :D

I guess a big question is whether it's an experience you'd want to miss out in your life. Because while you can always re-open options, the spot between college and starting in 'the real world' is a prime opportunity to do those things that you might not get done after that. And it might be harder to make the room to sign those two years away later on in your life.
